Have you ever seen a problem in your community that could benefit from a design opportunity? Addressing our communities most complex challenges through social impact design is a largely untapped market with a constantly growing demand for community-driven responses. This presentation will explore the various models of social impact design, from volunteer-led efforts to company initiatives and fully-dedicated companies. Successful strategies for making lasting changes will be discussed along with the challenges for each approach.  Communities everywhere can be strengthened by collaborative social impact design and finding the right approach to best leverage your skills and time will benefit both the designer and those being served.
